V Krishnamurthi

V. Krishnomurthi, BE, MSc (Engg), PhD is a former Professor and Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Anna University, Chennai. He graduated in Telecommunication Engineering from the College of Engineering, Guindy, in 1956 and completed his PhD at IIT Madras under the Quality Improvement Program. With over 50 years of teaching experience in India and abroad, he has guided numerous undergraduate and postgraduate students. He has published more than 80 research papers in national and international journals, including IEEE publications. His research interests include VLSI, DSP, DIP, WAN and ad hoc networks, power and medical electronics, electric drives and controls, and renewable energy. He has served as University Professor in Iraq and Turkey and held positions as Visiting Professor, Dean, and Director in various institutions. He received the “2000 Millennium Medal of Honor” from the American Biographical Institute, USA.
