Harbans Lal
Harbans Lal, Ph.D., FACBI, FSB, FIAO, joined the Department of Biochemistry at Medical College, Rohtak (now PGIMS, Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak) as a Lecturer in 1976 and retired as Professor in 2009. He later served as Senior Professor and Head, Department of Biochemistry, Maharaja Agrasen Medical College, Agroha. With vast experience teaching medical, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, and MLT students, he has guided numerous Ph.D. and M.D. scholars, authored 12 textbooks, and published over 150 research papers in national and international journals. He has also served as a peer reviewer and visiting faculty at reputed institutions in India and the USA. A life member of several national and international scientific bodies, he is the recipient of multiple prestigious awards, including the WHO Fellowship Award, Nutrition Society of India Young Scientist Award, and Best Teacher Award for Excellence in Teaching.
