(I) Corticosteroids, (ii) immunosuppressant or cytotoxic drugs, (iii) biologics and (iv) small molecules (JAK/STAT inhibitors).

Brig Sanjeev Vaishampayan, MD

Brig Sanjeev Vaishampayan is a retired army officer who served for 35 years and rose to the position of Commandant at Military Hospital, Mhow. He is currently serving as Professor and Head of Dermatology at PMCH, Udaipur. He has previously held faculty positions at prestigious institutions, including Index Medical College, Indore; Army College of Medical Sciences, New Delhi; AFMC, Pune; and Command Hospital, Lucknow. Brig Vaishampayan has written four books and contributed chapters to 16 other books. His research interests focus on biologies, immunomodulators, acute skin failure, and drug reactions, with 52 papers published in indexed journals.
In 2021, he was elected Vice President of the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists, and Leprologists (IADVL). His professional excellence has earned him several awards, including the Best Teacher Award in 2015, Oration in 2017, and DermaSeva Award in 2019. He also received the Humanitarian Dermatologist Award from the International League of Dermatology Associations in 2020. Brig Vaishampayan has been awarded the Chief of Army Staff Commendation twice for his exemplary service. He is actively involved in social work, conducting medical camps in tribal areas of Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Jharkhand, where he has seen over 70,000 patients as an honorary consultant.
Kabir Sardana, MD, DNB, MNAMS, is Director-Professor and Head of the Department of Dermatology and STDs at ABVIMS and Dr. RML Hospital, New Delhi. He previously served as Professor at Maulana Azad Medical College (2006–2016) and Assistant Professor at Chacha Nehru Bal Chikitsalya (2005–2006). An alumnus of MAMC and MD from Lady Hardinge Medical College, he is a DNB holder and Fellow of the National Academy of Medical Sciences.
Dr. Sardana has authored over 280 PubMed-indexed papers and numerous books on dermatology, infectious diseases, systemic drugs, and dermatological immunopathogenesis. His works include Lasers and Energy Devices in Aesthetic Practice, Handbook of Pigmentary Disorders, Clinical Approach to Acne Vulgaris, Systemic Drugs in Dermatology, and Textbook of Dermatology and STDs with HIV Infections. Arun C. Inamadar, MBBS, DVD, MD (DV&L), FRCP (Edinburgh), MPM Cx (MM Ahmedabad), WHO Fellowship, is currently Pro Vice-Chancellor at BLDE Deemed University and also Professor and Head of the Department of Dermatology at SBMP Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, BLDE Deemed University, Vijayapura, Karnataka.
He has been a recipient of the WHO Fellowship and has trained at the University of Washington, Seattle, and the University of Puerto Rico, San Juan, USA. He is also a Fellow of the Karnataka Science and Technology Academy.
Dr. Inamadar has made substantial contributions to medical research and education, with over 200 publications, 12 books edited, and 70 chapters contributed to medical literature.
Murlidhar Rajagopalan, MD (PGIMER), FRCP (Edin), is a Senior Dermatologist at PGIMER, Chandigarh. He initiated the Department of Dermatology at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, in 1990, where he continues to serve as Head of the Department. His primary interest is in immunodermatology.
Dr. Rajagopalan has represented India at the International Psoriasis Council since 2006 and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the International Society of Atopic Dermatitis. He is widely recognized for his expertise and keen interest in biologics in medicine.
