Sharmila Patil, MD, DDV (Mumbai), is Professor and Head of the Department of Dermatology at DY Patil University School of Medicine, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. She has over 20 years of experience in the field of dermatology. Dr. Patil has been a mentor and guide to many young dermatologists. She has contributed several chapters to various dermatology books and published papers in both national and international journals. She is also an active member of the Medical Education Unit.

Ratnakar Shukla

Ratnakar Shukla, MBBS, MD (Skin & VD), is currently a Senior Resident in the Department of Dermatology at AIIMS, Patna, Bihar. He has delivered talks at various conferences and published papers in both national and international journals. He has won numerous quizzes at both state and national levels. He served as the National Coordinator representing the West Zone for the National Resident Connecting Committee (NRCC) 2019–20 and was Associate Editor of the annual residents’ magazine Residream in 2019–20. Dr. Shukla has organized several conferences and has volunteered in skin health camps for prisoners and other underprivileged communities. He is known for his excellent communication skills and is passionate about academics and teaching, with a special interest in dermatosurgery, trichology, psoriasis, and acne.
