N. Gowri, MSc (N) is currently working as the Head of the Department and Professor in the Department of Community Health Nursing at Our Lady of Health School and College of Nursing, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. She completed her undergraduate nursing education at Adhiparasakthi College of Nursing, Melmaruvathur, Tamil Nadu, where she received the Best Outgoing Student Award. She obtained her Master of Science in Nursing (Community Health Nursing) from Rani Meyyammai College of Nursing, Annamalai University, and was awarded the Gold Medal in 2007. She has over 15 years of teaching experience. Her rich and diverse professional experience as a Tutor, Lecturer, Reader, and Professor has contributed significantly to the preparation of this manual in a student-friendly manner. She has published several research articles in reputed national and international journals and holds membership in TNAI.

G. Grace Jebakani Sweety, MSc (N) is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Community Health Nursing at Our Lady of Health School and College of Nursing, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. She completed her undergraduate nursing education at Bishop’s College of Nursing, Dharapuram, Tamil Nadu, and was awarded the Omayalatchi Memorial Endowment Gold Medal for academic excellence in Obstetrics and Gynecological Nursing. She pursued her postgraduate degree in Community Health Nursing from the College of Nursing, Madras Medical College, Chennai, and also holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from Tamil Nadu Open University, Chennai. She is currently pursuing her PhD (N) at Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS), Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She has published research articles in several national nursing journals and has presented scientific research papers at international nursing conferences. She has also served as a resource person for national nursing conferences and disaster management workshops.
