Cryopreservation and cryobiology are exciting and fast-moving fields. The study of the effects of low temperatures on organisms, and the application of cryobiological knowledge in scientific and commercial settings has given rise to many new advances, especially in human and animal reproductive biotechnology. This book seeks to inform the reader of the latest knowledge and applications. In part one, some recent advances in cryopreservation are showcased, such as the cryopreservation of adherent cells on a fixed substrate. In part two, the current frontiers of cryopreservation are examined.
