Dr. Ashis Kumar Saha is Professor and Deputy Medical Superintendent (Academic) at Jagannath Gupta Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital, Budge Budge, Kolkata, West Bengal. He has over 15 years of teaching, research, and administrative experience, with more than 54 original research articles and several review papers published in national and international indexed journals.
He is the author of multiple medical books, including Updates in Dengue Fever (Lambert Publishing, Germany), Clinical Methods and Interpretations, Solved Papers in Medicine for MD & DNB, Manual of Clinical Medicine (CBS Publishers), and Fatty Liver Disease: A Silent Killer of Human Being (Cambridge Scholars Publishing).
Dr. Saha has served as Associate Editor and Editor for several national and international journals and monographs and is a reviewer for more than 12 journals. He has received honorary PhD and DSc degrees, a Lifetime Achievement Award, and fellowships including FICP (India), FACP (USA), FRCP (Edinburgh), FRCP (Glasgow), and FRCP (UK). He is also a Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland.
An active member of the Association of Physicians of India (API) for over 18 years, he currently serves as Secretary, API West Bengal Branch (2024–2026), and Council Member (Eastern Zone), Indian College of Physicians (2022–2025).
