Vimal K Sikri MDS, DOOP(PU), DEME(AIU), FICD is former Professor and Head, Department of Conservative Dentistry
and Endodontics, and Principal I Dean, Punjab Government Dental College and Hospital, Amritsar. A well-known
personality in the Indian dental fraternity, he is former Director, Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences, Jalandhar,
Punjab.
Blessed with an aptitude for teaching and learning, he has written seven books Fundamentals of Dental Radiology
4/e, Community Dentistry, Essentials of Endodontics 2/e, Textbook of Conservative and Restorative Dentistry, Pre-
Clinical Conservative Dentistry 2/e and Indirect Restorations in Dental Practice 2/e. He is the only dental teacher in
India who has successfully completed Diploma in Evaluation, Methodology and Examination from Association of
Indian Universities and that too with distinction. He also stood first in Diploma in Office Management from Punjab
