Shameem Shariff
Dr. Shameem Shariff is a former Professor and Head of the Department of Pathology at St. John’s Medical College and Hospital and MVJ Medical College and Research Hospital, Bengaluru. She served as Chairperson of the Board of Studies for Paramedical (Postgraduate) Subjects at the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Karnataka.
She graduated from Government Medical College, Bellary, and completed her postgraduation in Pathology from Bangalore Medical College in 1981. She was awarded a Ph.D. in Pathology in 1995 and served at St. John’s Medical College for 20 years (1982–2002). From 2002 to 2008, she worked as a Senior Consultant with the Ministry of Health in the University of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman.
