B. S. Cheema, MD (Medicine), DM (Cardiology), FACC (USA), FICC, FICP, is among the senior-most cardiologists in India, having completed his DM (Cardiology) in 1977 from PGI, Chandigarh. He has 38 years of experience as a consultant cardiologist, including 27 years of teaching experience in cardiology in the Armed Forces. During his service, he worked at two large service hospitals and at the Army Hospital (R&R), Delhi Cantonment. After retirement, he served at KMC Mangalore and KMC Manipal (both under Manipal University), SGRD Medical College (GND University), Amritsar, and the Department of Cardiology at Maharishi Markandeshwar (Deemed to be University) Medical College, Mullana, Ambala. He was awarded the Fellowship of the American College of Cardiology in 1991.
