Ansar Abbas Khan
Dr. Ansar Abbas Khan, MBBS, MD (Pathology), CCytol (UK) is a founder member of the Department of Pathology at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Aligarh, India. She established Diagnostic Cytopathology Services at Cancer Hospital, Red Hills, Hyderabad, in 1967. She joined the Indian Academy of Cytologists (IAC) in 1969 and became a life member in 1979.
Dr. Khan worked as a Pathologist at Algomurhia Hospital, Aden (1974–1976) under the ITEC Programme of the Government of India, where she organized Diagnostic Pathology Services in Oncology under the WHO Eastern Mediterranean Region. She also served as Assistant Professor of Pathology at the Faculty of Medicine, Garyounis University, Benghazi, Libya (1980–1982), where she established a Histopathology Centre for postgraduate teaching at Hawari Hospital.
