Richa Sharma, MS, MNAMS, FICOG, FICMCH, CIMPFMAS, FRM, is currently serving as Director-Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at University College of Medical Sciences and the associated Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital, Delhi.
An accomplished gynecologic endoscopic and robotic surgeon, she has pursued fellowships in reproductive medicine and minimally invasive gynecological surgery. She served as Chairperson, AOGD Endoscopy Committee, Delhi (2018–2021), and is currently Chairperson, Medical Termination of Pregnancy Committee (2021–2025) of the Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India (FOGSI). She has also served as National Corresponding Editor of the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of India (JOGI) from 2021 to 2024.
She has edited two books—Stepwise Access to Hysteroscopy and Intrauterine Adhesions (Asherman’s Syndrome): Overview and Hysteroscopy. She has to her credit several research publications in national and international journals and has presented research papers and posters at numerous national and international conferences.
She is the recipient of several prestigious awards, including the FOGSI Corion Award (Junior Category, 2015; Senior Category, 2023), the FOGSI-IPAS Young Talent Promotion and MTP Committee Award (2016), and the FOGSI Late Dr. Pravin Mehta Training Fellowship in Laparoscopy Award (2017).
