Rekha Kumari, MSc (OBG), PhD (Pursuing), is an Assistant Professor at the School of Nursing Science and Research, Sharda University, Greater Noida. She has over 11 years of teaching experience and completed her MSc in Obstetric and Gynecological Nursing from Himalayan College of Nursing.
She has published around 18 research papers in Scopus- and UGC CARE–indexed journals and has presented scholarly work in the field of education. Dr. Kumari has held several academic and administrative roles, including Head of the OBG Department, NAAC Criteria 7 school-level representative, class coordinator, newsletter editor, lab supervisor, and research advisor for UG and PG students.
She has actively organized and participated in numerous national and international conferences, lectures, and workshops, and has collaborated with NGOs such as the Society of Menstruation Disorder and Hygiene Management, Transgender Health in India, and Mahila Unnathi Sanstha. Currently, she contributes to nine foundations working in the field of menstrual hygiene.
Priscilla Johnson, MD, DNB, D is currently serving as Professor of Physiology and Associate Dean at Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute (SRIHER), Chennai, Tamil Nadu. An eminent physiologist, she is an alumna of Madras Medical College and Kilpauk Medical College, Chennai, and has been a passionate medical educator for over 24 years.
Her depth of knowledge and understanding of the subject, coupled with a strong love for teaching, make her an exceptional teacher whose enthusiasm and passion inspire her students. She was honoured with the Teaching Excellence Team Award (2023). She is also an able administrator who handles multitasking with ease.
A renowned researcher, she has several national and international publications to her credit. She is one of the adaptation editors of Ross and Wilson Anatomy and Physiology in Health and Illness. She has received an NIH grant and has been awarded the Lung India Award and the Research Ambassador Award for her research contributions. Her areas of interest include respiratory physiology, environmental epidemiology, thermal physiology, and scientific writing.
