Vidya S. Patil, MD (Biochemistry), is currently Professor and Head, Department of Biochemistry, SDM College of Medical Sciences and Hospital, Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara University (SDMU), Dharwad, Karnataka. She has 17 years of undergraduate and more than six years of postgraduate teaching experience. She has completed the Advanced Course in Medical Education (ACME) from the Nodal Centre for Faculty Development, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Belagavi. She is a recognized MD and PhD guide in Biochemistry.
She has served as a member of the Board of Studies for undergraduate and postgraduate curricula of various universities, including Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bengaluru; BLDE University, Vijayapura; and SDMU. An ardent supporter of innovative curriculum patterns and teaching methodologies for enhanced student learning and practical skill development, she has actively contributed to the development and implementation of curricular reforms across universities. She has to her credit 32 research papers published in indexed national and international journals.
Nagalakshmi Vijaykumar, MD (Physiology), is currently Professor, Department of Physiology, SDM College of Medical Sciences and Hospital, SDMU, Dharwad, Karnataka. She completed her MBBS and MD from S.S. Medical College, Tumkur. She has also completed the Advanced Course in Medical Education (ACME) conducted by the Medical Council of India (MCI) at the Nodal Centre for Faculty Development, JNMC, Belagavi. She has 13 years of undergraduate and three years of postgraduate teaching experience.
She is a member of the Board of Studies for undergraduate and postgraduate curricula at SDMU. With a keen interest in medical education, she has contributed to the development and implementation of the SDMU curriculum. She has published 17 research papers in indexed national and international journals.
Vijayetha P. Patil, MD (Biochemistry), is Professor, Department of Biochemistry, SDM College of Medical Sciences and Hospital, SDMU, Dharwad. She completed her MBBS from JSS Medical College, Mysuru, and her MD from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belagavi. She has also completed the Advanced Course in Medical Education (ACME) conducted by the MCI Nodal Centre for Faculty Development, JN Medical College, KLE University, Belagavi.
She has a keen interest in teaching and curriculum development and possesses both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching experience. She has guided students in various academic projects and has served as a resource person in medical education workshops at her institution. She is a member of the Board of Studies (Pre-clinical Medical Faculty) at SDMU and has published several research papers in peer-reviewed national and international journals.
