This logbook aims to provide a ready format to record the activities, competencies and skills as well as the Early Clinical Exposure (ECE) sessions from Physiology. Combined with reflection writing, the records can be used for formative and continuous assessment of the learners as they progress through First Professional MBBS. This logbook will serve as a stimulus to encourage selfdirected learning among undergraduate students. Dr. Poonam Agrawal is currently the Professor and Head of the Department of Biochemistry at Santosh Deemed to be University, Ghaziabad. With 18 years of teaching experience, she has taught MBBS, MD, BDS, nursing, and allied health science students at prestigious institutes such as MAMC, LHMC, ACMS, and BSA Medical College, New Delhi.
A passionate medical education advocate, Dr. Agrawal is a resource faculty member for faculty development programs (FDP) at SMU and MAMC, New Delhi. She has developed and implemented various innovative teaching-learning methodologies and conducted workshops for young faculty.
Dr. Agrawal has authored five books on biochemistry, including Textbook of Biochemistry with Clinical Approach and Case Studies for MBBS Students and Practical Biochemistry on CBME. She is also the South Asian Editor for Cell and Molecular Biology: UR.
Her teaching philosophy focuses on helping students keep pace with the latest advancements in their field.
Dr. Niket Verma, MBBS, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of General Medicine at Army College of Medical Sciences, Delhi Cantt, New Delhi. He is actively involved in academic and research activities in his department and has completed the Advanced Course in Medical Education conducted by the Medical Council of India (MCI). He is a member of the Medical Education Unit of his college and contributes to the implementation of the Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) Programme for MBBS undergraduates.
