The Workbook for exercise therapy is designed to help and improve the knowledge and practical skills of students of physiotherapy. The book emphasizes more on basic concepts of the use of different therapeutic techniques and instruments in assessment as well as management. It is designed in a way that students will have to practice writing to document practical records. Documentation is an essential part of physiotherapy practice which has been taken very liberally till now. Providing this type of book will surely make into the practice of documenting records of the patient's conditions from the very initial stage. It provides a wide base for the faculty to cover all the aspects of the topics. At present students do have to refer to so many books to prepare for the different topics covered in the practical examination. The authors are confident that if the students maintain the record of their practical's in this Workbook properly, it will become their best guide in their practical examinations.
Hetashri B. Patel, MPTh
Ms. Hetashri B. Patel is currently the Chief Pediatric Physiotherapist at Foster Physio & Sports, Surat. She also serves as the Coordinator of the NGO BKP-PDMDS (Parkinson Support Group) and works as a visiting physiotherapist at various hospitals in Surat.
She has actively participated in numerous workshops and seminars related to pediatric and adult neurology to enhance her assessment techniques and treatment protocols. Ms. Patel has also delivered lectures at several colleges as a guest faculty member.
Bindesh D. Patel, MPTh, is currently Deputy Registrar at PP Savani University, Gujarat. He completed his MPTh in Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy from MGM University, Navi Mumbai, and is pursuing an MBA from IGNOU and a PhD from PP Savani University. He has completed internationally certified kinesio taping and neural tissue mobilization workshops.
He has served as an on-field physiotherapist for several tournaments, including the 20th Commonwealth Table Tennis Championship, and has delivered lectures at various institutes as a subject expert. He has published four research papers in national and international journals.
He is actively involved in innovation and entrepreneurship, coordinating the SSIP Centre at PP Savani University. He has attended multiple start-up and innovation workshops, won first runner-up in the Innovation Exhibits competition at AIIMS, New Delhi, and recently filed a patent for a posture assessment device. He is a member of the Gujarat State Council of Physiotherapy.
