Jaya Kuruvilla

Jaya Kuruvilla, PhD, MSc (N), is the Principal and Professor at PD Hinduja Hospital & MRC College of Nursing, Mumbai with 17 years in this role and over 40 years of teaching experience. She earned her BSc and MSc in Nursing (Medical-Surgical Nursing) from CMC Vellore and a PhD from IBAM, Kolkata. Her expertise spans Critical Care Nursing, Nursing Education, Research, and Administration. She played a key role in planning and commissioning the Surgical ICU at CMC Vellore and has been a PhD guide at MUHS for 10 years. Dr. Kuruvilla is the Founder and Former President of CCNS, India and RFCCN, SAARC countries. She has received the Best Principal Award (2011), Best Teacher Award, TNAI Maharashtra (2019), and Service Excellence Award (2021). She co-authored Genetics for Nursing and Allied Health Professionals and contributed to TNAI Medical-Surgical Nursing textbooks. She has organized, attended, and presented papers at numerous national and international conferences in India, the USA, Europe, Middle East, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Australia.
