Shakuntala Murty

Shakuntala Murty is currently working as Professor and Head, Department of Emergency Medicine, St. John’s Medical College Hospital, Bengaluru, Karnataka. She graduated from Andhra Medical College, Visakhapatnam, and completed her postgraduate degree in General Medicine from the same institution. She subsequently obtained her MRCP (UK) and became a Fellow of the Academic College of Emergency Experts, India. She has been a faculty member in the Department of Emergency Medicine at St. John’s Medical College Hospital since 2001 and currently leads the department. She is a member of the Emergency Medicine Association of India and also serves on the Specialists Board in Emergency Medicine of the National Board of Examinations. With over 20 years of clinical and academic experience in Emergency Medicine, she is deeply committed to the growth and development of this specialty.
