Combined with reflection writing, the records can be used for formative and continuous assessment of the learners as they progress through 2nd Professional MBBS. Dr. Poonam Agrawal is currently the Professor and Head of the Department of Biochemistry at Santosh Deemed to be University, Ghaziabad. With 18 years of teaching experience, she has taught MBBS, MD, BDS, nursing, and allied health science students at prestigious institutes such as MAMC, LHMC, ACMS, and BSA Medical College, New Delhi.
A passionate medical education advocate, Dr. Agrawal is a resource faculty member for faculty development programs (FDP) at SMU and MAMC, New Delhi. She has developed and implemented various innovative teaching-learning methodologies and conducted workshops for young faculty.
Dr. Agrawal has authored five books on biochemistry, including Textbook of Biochemistry with Clinical Approach and Case Studies for MBBS Students and Practical Biochemistry on CBME. She is also the South Asian Editor for Cell and Molecular Biology: UR.
Her teaching philosophy focuses on helping students keep pace with the latest advancements in their field.
Dr. Niket Verma, MBBS, MD is an Assistant Professor in the Department of General Medicine at Army College of Medical Sciences, Delhi Cantt, New Delhi. He is actively involved in academic and research activities in his department and has completed the Advanced Course in Medical Education conducted by the Medical Council of India (MCI). He is a member of the Medical Education Unit of his college and contributes to the implementation of the Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) Programme for MBBS undergraduates.
Deepti Chopra is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology at the Government Institute of Medical Sciences, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Prior to this, she has worked at HIMSR, Jamia Hamdard, and Lady Hardinge Medical College. She completed her graduation and postgraduation in Pharmacology from Lady Hardinge Medical College, and also holds a postgraduate degree in Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases.
She has been actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching for the past 14 years and has authored more than 50 publications in various national and international journals.
