D. V. Reddy, BVSc, MVSc (Animal Science), PhD (Animal Nutrition), is a former Professor and Head of the Department of Animal Nutrition, and Dean at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Veterinary Education and Research (RGIVER), Puducherry. He has 36 years of service in the government sector as a veterinary doctor, lecturer in dairy science at Jawahar Bharathi, Kavali, and faculty member in veterinary science at Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, before joining RGIVER, Puducherry, as Professor. He has been passionately engaged in animal science education, actively reading and writing for the benefit of veterinary students and professionals. Inspired by A Psalm of Life (1839) by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Prof. Reddy strives to make judicious use of his time to improve life, rather than blaming circumstances.
