Venkata Nagarjuna Maturu MBBS, MD, DM, MRCP (SCE), FCCP (USA), FAPSR, FICS is a Senior Consultant and Head, Department of Pulmonary Medicine, Yashoda Hospitals, Hitec City, Hyderabad. He leads the departments of clinical pulmonology, interventional pulmonology and sleep medicine. He has more than 70 publications in peer-reviewed international journals and has authored 12 chapters in standard pulmonology textbooks. He is a member of the committees that formulated the Indian National Guidelines for the management of asthma, COPD, pneumonia and bronchial thermoplasty. He is actively involved in mentoring and training DNB students and interventional pulmonology fellows from across the country. He was the first in India to introduce Virtual Bronchoscopic Navigation (2020), Bronchoscopic Thermal Vapor Ablation (2021), biodegradable airway stents (2023), and Bronchoscopic Trans-Parenchymal Nodule Access (2024).
