S.K. Hussian
Syed Khadim Husain, Chartered Environmental Engineer, obtained his BSc (Engineering) and MIE degrees in 1962 and 1966 with specialization in Environmental Engineering. He initially served the Uttar Pradesh Government’s Irrigation and Education Departments for about three and a half years.
From 1966 to 1975, he worked with the Institution of Engineers (India), Kolkata, as Technical Officer, where he was in charge of the Environmental and Civil Engineering Divisions and also edited related engineering journals. During 1975–1986, he served the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), overseeing 15 industrial divisions and 10 affiliated associations representing various engineering sectors, and worked closely with the Government of India on planning, technological development, and exports at national and international levels.
