Dr. P. S. Ramani, at the age of 80, continues to serve with remarkable zeal as Senior Consultant in Neuro-Spinal Surgery at Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre, Mumbai, India.
A prolific author, he has published 58 books covering a wide spectrum—from writings for the general public and guides for young doctors to advanced textbooks for senior specialists, including major contributions to the Spine Committee of the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS).
The present book is designed to provide comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge in spinal surgery. It marks the first volume in Prof. Ramani’s Spinal Series, a planned series aimed at advancing education and expertise in the field of spinal surgery.
