MohammedAli PhD
is former Dean and Acting Vice Chancellor, Faculty of Pharmacy, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi. He has served as Lecturer, Department of Chemistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi (1977-1980), and Hamdard College of Pharmacy, University of Delhi (1980-1982), as Scientist, Regional Research Laboratory (CSIR), Jammu Tawi (1982-1990), as Associate Professor and Professor, Faculty of Pharmacy, Hamdard University, New Delhi (1990-2012). He has also served as Head, Department of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Hamdard University, New Delhi.
He has more than 50 years of experience in teaching and research. His fields of research are natural products, medicinal chemistry and phytochemistry. He has published 776 research papers in national and international journals; presented 205 research papers at national and international conferences and symposiums; authored 17 research books and textbooks; and contributed chapters in seven international books.
