Kuntal Das, MPharm, PhD
Dr. Kuntal Das is currently Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry at St. John’s Pharmacy College, Bangalore. He co-guides several postgraduate students across departments, including Pharmacognosy and Pharmacology.
He began his career as a lecturer and has also worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a Quality Control Officer. His research interests include the standardization of cultivation parameters for medicinal and aromatic plants, application of nanofertilizers in medicinal plant cultivation, tissue culture of endangered plants, herbal formulations, and their clinical trials.
He has published numerous research and review papers in reputed national and international peer-reviewed journals. He has contributed chapters to Recent Progress in Medicinal Plants: Vol. 19 (Studium Press, USA) and authored the book Medicinal Plants: Their Usage in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
