K Vijayalakshmi
K. Vijayalakshmi, MDS (Orthodontics),
was Professor and Head, Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, and Principal of Best Dental Science College, Madurai, Tamil Nadu. She completed her graduation and postgraduation from the University of Madras, Chennai, and has completed 32 years of dedicated academic and clinical service.
She has to her credit 20 publications at national and international levels and has presented several scientific and clinical papers at national and international conferences. She has conducted numerous professional courses, including Tip-Edge, Surgical Orthodontics, and Twin-Block Appliances. She has published two books—MCQs in Orthodontics and Removable Orthodontic Appliances—and a third book, Treatment of Orthodontic Problems in Preadolescent Children, is in press.
Her areas of interest include molar distalization, fixed functional appliances, magnets, and implants.
