Gurcharan Singh Dr. Gurcharan Singh is a practicing taxonomist with extensive expertise in the floristics and phytosociology of the Northwestern Himalayas, as well as in addressing general nomenclatural challenges. He has nearly 40 years of experience in teaching taxonomy, ecology, and environmental sciences and retired from Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, University of Delhi, India. Dr. Singh has published approximately 42 research papers, including work on new species and nomenclatural revisions, and has authored 14 books. Currently, he is engaged in developing online databases, assisting with online species identification, and providing guidance through various digital forums. He also possesses substantial knowledge of the floristics of the Southwestern United States, particularly California.
