Amar R. Pazare, MBBS, MD (Medicine), BA (History), Fellowship in HIV Medicine (USA), FICP, is currently the Professor and Head of the Department of Medicine at Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai. He also serves as an HIV/AIDS consultant at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He is a member of the DCGI (Drugs Controller General of India) committee and the Malaria Control Board. In addition, he serves as an advisor to the MPSC and UPSC, and as a consultant to NACO. Dr. Pazare is on the editorial board of the Journal of the Association of Physicians of India (JAPI) as an Associate Editor and is also a board member of the Journal of Postgraduate Medicine and Contemporary Clinical Dentistry. He has extensive teaching experience of around 20 years, mentoring both undergraduate and postgraduate students.
