U Satyanarayana
U. Satyanarayana, PhD is former Professor and Head, Department of Biochemistry, Siddhartha Medical College, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, under Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences. With over 48 years of experience (35 as professor), he has taught biochemistry to medical, dental, and science students. He has authored four popular books—Essentials of Biochemistry, Biochemistry Review, Fundamentals of Biochemistry, and Biotechnology—and published 90 research papers. A gold medalist of Nagpur University, he has received the Dr. Krishnaswamy Best Teacher Award and Regional Service Awards from the Asian-Pacific Congress of Clinical Biochemistry. He is a fellow of the National Academy of Clinical Biochemistry (USA), Association of Clinical Biochemists of India, and Institution of Chemists (India), and was recognized as Outstanding Scientist Worldwide-2007 by the International Biographical Centre, UK.
