Thomas Vadakkan
Dr. Thomas Vadakkan completed his postgraduate training in Pulmonary Medicine at JIPMER in 2002. He is currently Professor in the Department of Pulmonary Medicine at the Amala Institute of Medical Sciences, Thrissur. In addition, he serves as a teaching faculty member at the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) for DM Pulmonary Medicine and PhD programmes.
He has over 22 years of experience in clinical practice, research, and teaching, with a special focus on interventional pulmonology and critical care medicine. He has played key organizational roles in several major academic conferences, including Organizing Chairman of PULMOCON 2021 and APTCON 2020 and 2021. He also served as Organizing Treasurer for NATCON 2023, held in Thrissur, Kerala, in February 2024.
Dr. Vadakkan has contributed significantly to academic literature, with 20 articles published in indexed journals.
