T Radha Bai Prabhu
T. Radha Bai Prabhu, MD, DGO, MNAMS, FRCOG, FRCS, PhD, DSc, is the former Director and Superintendent of the Institute of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Government Hospital for Women and Children, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She has been an esteemed undergraduate and postgraduate teacher since 1982.
She was awarded MRCOG by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1996 and later conferred FRCOG in 2009. She received FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1997. In 2010, she was awarded a PhD by The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai, for her work on “Infertility and Genital Tuberculosis.” She later earned a DSc from MAHER University, Chennai, in 2022.
Dr. Prabhu has an outstanding academic record, being a gold medalist in both undergraduate and postgraduate studies. She has received several honours, including the Tamil Nadu Women Scientist Lifetime Achievement Award, the Tamil Nadu Medical Council Award, and six FOGSI awards.
