Sushma BJ
Sushma BJ MBBS, MD (Biochemistry), PhD
is currently Professor and Head, Department of Biochemistry, National Institute of Medical
Sciences and Research, Jaipur, Rajasthan. She has over 14 years of experience of
teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in India and abroad. A gold
medalist in MD (biochemistry) from RGUHS, Bengaluru, she has authored a chapter on
incretins for the Fellowship in Diabetes program. She holds multiple international
fellowships, an MBA in Hospital and Health Care Management, and certifications from Johns
Hopkins University and the University of London. Recipient of the Education Innovation Award 2025,
she has also been honored with several academic and research awards including the AFMC Quiz
Award, Young Scientist Award, Women Researcher Award and Best Scientist Award. A prolific
researcher with over 80 indexed publications and three pedagogical copyrights, she has guided
ICMR-STS projects and serves as a life member of AMBI and IMA.
