Som Prakash Tyagi
Som Prakash Tyagi MD, FRCPath (London) is ex-Professor and Chairperson, Department of
Pathology, Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC), Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, Uttar
Pradesh. He served as Professor and Head, Department of Pathology, Nepalgunj Medical
College, Chisapani, Nepal, and then as Professor Emeritus in the same institution. He has
teaching experience of 26 years for postgraduate and 45 years for undergraduate students,
respectively. He has worked as a consultant pathologist in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at
government hospitals for 5 years. He established the blood bank at GSVM Medical College,
Kanpur, and JNMCH, Aligarh. He has to his credit over 160 articles published in national and
international indexed journals.
