R Kasi Visweswaran
Dr. R. Kasi Visweswaran is a senior Professor of Nephrology with nearly 40 years of experience. He has contributed chapters to leading international textbooks, including Comprehensive Clinical Nephrology, and is a *coauthor for UpToDate. He has authored and edited several important books such as Prescribing Drugs in Renal Diseases, Fluid, Electrolyte and Acid–Base Balance, and 10 volumes of Nephrology for Physicians, and has coedited Current Progress in Nephrology with Prof. Claudio Ponticelli (Italy).
He has held key leadership positions, including Vice Principal, Medical College, Trivandrum, and President, Indian Society of Nephrology. A Commonwealth Scholar and Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh), he is a founder member of the Southern Chapter of the Indian Society of Nephrology and the Nephrology Association of Kerala.
