R.K. Khar
Prof. Roopkrishan Khar is a renowned academician and research scientist. A university gold medallist in B.Pharm, he was awarded a Ph.D. in 1986 by Sofia Medical Academy, Bulgaria, under the Indo-Bulgarian Cultural Exchange Programme. During his fellowship, he visited several European countries as part of his academic training.
Prof. Khar has established a research school in Controlled Drug Delivery Systems, focusing on mucosal and periodontal drug delivery. He has supervised 10 Ph.D. and 30 M.Pharm theses, published 80 research papers in national and international journals, and presented around 90 abstracts at conferences. He has authored five textbooks and reference books.
A widely traveled scholar, he is a member of professional bodies including IPA, IPGA, APTI, and the New York Academy of Research.
