R. Vijai Kumar
R. Vijai Kumar, MD (Resp), DTCD, FNCCR, FISDA, FIARC, qualified as a pulmonologist in 1980 and has been actively practicing for over 44 years. He has served as head of the department in several private corporate hospitals and has been a passionate teacher in multiple medical colleges. In 1992, he received an international fellowship from the American Association of Respiratory Care (AARC). He served as Governor of the American College of Chest Physicians (USA) for seven years and initiated numerous educational activities.
He has contributed dozens of book chapters on pulmonary and critical care medicine and serves on the editorial boards of journals such as Lung India, Indian Association of Respiratory Care (IARC), and Indian Journal of Sleep Medicine. As Vice-Chairman of TB Alert (NGO), he contributes to the National TB Eradication Program. He is currently Director, Hyderabad Chest Center, Hyderabad.
