Mukesh Agrawal MD (Pediatrics) is currently Professor and Head, Department of Pediatrics, KJ Somaiya
Medical College and Research Center, Mumbai. He started his journey in pediatrics in 1982, and is now an
accomplished postgraduate and undergraduate teacher for about 40 years. Before present assignment, he was
Professor and Head, Departme nt of Ped iatrics, Seth GS Medical College and KE M Hospital, Mu mbai.
Besides this textbook, he has also authored/edited many other books, including widely acclaimed
“Immunization in Practice—Facts and FAQ". He has also contributed about 20 chapters in speciality books and
published over 100 research publications in national and international journals. Dr Agrawal has been a guest speaker/ faculty
member in many academic forums and has delivered many prestigious orations.
