Mohammad Rafiqul Alam
Muhammad Rafiqul Alam, MD, FCPS, is Professor of Nephrology and Pro Vice Chancellor (Administration) at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), Bangladesh. He obtained his MBBS from Chittagong Medical College (1982), FCPS (Medicine) from the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (1992), and MD (Nephrology) from Dhaka University (1995).
Prof. Alam is President of the Bangladesh Renal Association and the Association of Physicians of Bangladesh, and Vice President of the Society of Organ Transplantation, Bangladesh. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology, a member of the ISN South Asian Regional Board, and an editor of the Bangladesh Renal Journal. He has authored books including Synopsis of Nephrology and Kidney Niye Joto Kotha: Facts about Kidney, contributed chapters to several books, and published over 50 papers in national and international journals.
