K Rajgopal Shenoy
K. Rajgopal Shenoy, MBBS, MS, FRCS (Glasgow), is Professor and former Head of the Department of Surgery and ex-Associate Dean at Kasturba Medical College (KMC), Manipal, MAHE. A distinguished surgeon and acclaimed teacher, he has been on the KMC faculty since 1986 and has examined undergraduate and postgraduate students across many universities for over three decades.
Prof. Shenoy is known for his strong emphasis on fundamentals and evidence-based teaching. He is an invited faculty at numerous CMEs and has received multiple “Good Teacher” awards. During the COVID period, he actively contributed to national online teaching initiatives and continues to mentor students through various academic platforms, including the Torrent Young Scholar Award (TYSA) program.
He is the author of well-known CBS publications such as Manipal Manual of Clinical Methods in Surgery, Manipal Manual of Instruments (2/e), and Manipal Manual of Surgery with Clinical Methods for Dental Students (4/e).
