J. V. Peter, MD, DNB, FAMS, FRACR, FJFICM, FCICM, FICCM, FRCP (Edin), MPhil, is a Professor of Critical Care Medicine at the Christian Medical College, Vellore. He is a Fellow of the College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM), Australia; the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP); and the Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh (RCPE). He has published extensively in the field of intensive care, with over 200 publications in indexed and non-indexed journals and textbooks. His research interests include tropical infections, toxicology, mechanical ventilation, and meta-analysis.
