Govind Srivastava
Govind Srivastava, MBBS, MD, MNAMS, is Dean and Head of the Department of Dermatology at the Skin Institute and School of Dermatology, and Deputy Director of Dr. Behl Wholistic Health Centre, New Delhi, India. A renowned dermatologist, he is especially noted for his contributions to leprology and was the first clinician to describe histoid leprosy in India.
Over a career spanning nearly four decades, he has trained numerous DNB and diploma students and supervised their theses. He is Editor-in-Chief of Asian Clinics in Dermatology and Dermatology Times and has authored over 300 research papers in national and international journals. His notable books include Practice of Dermatology, Herbs Useful in Dermatological Therapy, Skin Irritants and Sensitizing Plants Found in India, Traditional Indian Dermatology—Concepts of Past and Present, and AIDS—Diagnosis, Treatment and Prevention.
