Chhidda Singh
Chhidda Singh is an Ex-Professor of Agronomy (Extension) at G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand. A gold medalist of the same university, he completed his BSc (Hons) in Agriculture and Animal Husbandry in 1963. He received a special fellowship and assistantship from the University of Illinois, USA, where he earned his MS (Agronomy) in 1965 and PhD in 1968. He began his academic career in 1969 as an Assistant Professor at G. B. Pant University.
Dr. Singh later served as an agricultural consultant for World Bank–financed irrigation projects in Nepal from 1987 to 1997. He has authored more than 300 scientific and popular articles on crop production and has written five books in this field.
