Chandrakant Kokate, MPharm, PhD Prof. Chandrakant Kokate, a renowned figure in Indian pharmaceutical education, is currently the Vice-Chancellor of KLE University, Belgaum, Karnataka. He served as President of the Pharmacy Council of India for a decade and was President of the Indian Pharmaceutical Association (2000–2002). He has also chaired the All India Board for Pharmacy Education under AICTE and served on the AICTE Executive Committee. Prof. Kokate holds the distinction of being the first pharmacist in India to become Vice-Chancellor of Indian universities, having held positions at Kakatiya University, Acharya Nagarjuna University (additional charge), and currently at KLE University.
