Senior Cardiologist
Col. BS Cheema is one of the senior-most cardiologists in India, having completed his DM in Cardiology in 1977 from PGI, Chandigarh. With 38 years of experience as a consultant cardiologist and 27 years of teaching in cardiology, he has served in prestigious positions, including at two major service hospitals and Army Hospital (R&R) in Delhi Cantonment. After retirement, he continued his work at KMC-Mangalore, KMC-Manipal, SGRD Medical College (Amritsar), and Maharishi Markandeshwar Medical College, Mullana, Ambala.
He was awarded fellowship by the American College of Cardiology in 1991. A life member of the Cardiological Society of India and several related national societies, Col. Cheema was honored with the VSM by the President of India in 1988 for his distinguished service in the Indian Army.
