Avinash H. Waghmode, MBBS, MD, is currently Professor and Head of the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology at BKL Walawalkar Rural Medical College, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Maharashtra. He is a PhD Scholar at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Sawangi Meghe, Wardha. He has provided expert opinions in several high-profile medicolegal cases during his tenure. He has to his credit numerous research papers published in national and international indexed journals. He is the author of the book Comparison of CT Scan Findings with Autopsy Findings in Cases of Head Injury and has written two book chapters, Head Injury and Hanging, published in New Frontiers in Medicine and Medical Research.
