Ashok K Deorari MD, Diplomate NB, FAMS, FNNF is currently Principal and Dean, Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, Jolly Grant, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. He is a former Professor and Head, Department of Pediatrics, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. Dr. Deorari is a popular, tech-savvy teacher who has developed multi-modal newborn health education programs that have received global recognition. He has spearheaded and promoted quality improvement initiatives in neonatal care in India and internationally. He served as Secretary General (1995–96) and President (2020) of the National Neonatology Forum of India.
