Amarjeet Singh, MD (Community Medicine), is Professor and Head of the Department of Community Medicine and the School of Public Health at PGIMER, Chandigarh. He has published more than 250 research papers, 130 book chapters, and 35 books, and has completed 61 research projects. His work on mobile phone–based health care, carried out with Dr. Surya Bali, was listed under “Innovative Approaches” in the HSPROD database. He initiated the novel concept of establishing a Multipurpose Behavior Therapy Room in outpatient departments to enhance both doctor and patient satisfaction. In addition, he has produced eight short films on various public health topics. He is a recipient of the prestigious Harcharan Singh Oration and Dhanwantri Oration.
