Fungicides are an essential part of modern agriculture and medicine, although there is concern about the emergence of resistance and effect of fungicides on the environment, food safety and human health. Fungicide research is therefore a constantly evolving field, in which there is an ever-present need to balance safety requirements with long-term effectiveness.
