Biomechanics offers an interdisciplinary approach to issues in medicine and life sciences, drawing on approaches from physics, engineering, materials science, computer modelling and mathematics, as well as from biological science. Biomechanics can enhance traditional approaches in surgery, orthopaedics and sports medicine, and this book offers the reader varied insights into what biomechanics can contribute.
