K Ilango, MPharm, PhD, FIC, is currently Professor and Principal at Tagore College of Pharmacy, Chennai. He holds degrees from the Department of Pharmacy, Annamalai University, Chidambaram, and the Birla Institute of Science and Technology (BITS), Pilani, Rajasthan, and earned his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Sri Ramachandra University, Chennai.
With 32 years of teaching experience and over a decade in research, he specializes in Medicinal Chemistry and Phytochemistry. He also has two years of pharmaceutical industry experience as a production chemist.
Dr. Ilango has made substantial contributions to the field, with more than 250 scientific publications in national and international journals and several Indian patents. He has authored books in pharmaceutical chemistry, including Textbook of Medicinal Chemistry, Volumes I and II and Medicinal Chemistry for Pharm D, further enriching the academic landscape.
He is actively involved in various statutory bodies, reflecting his commitment to the advancement of pharmaceutical education and research.
P. Valentina, MPharm, PhD, is currently Professor and Principal at PERI College of Pharmacy, Chennai. She completed her graduation at Periyar College of Pharmaceutical Sciences for Girls, Trichy, and studied at the College of Pharmacy, Madras Medical College, Chennai. She earned her PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Chennai.
With 30 years of teaching experience and two years of pharmaceutical industry experience, Dr. Valentina has made significant contributions to pharmaceutical education and research. She has authored over 75 scientific publications in peer-reviewed national and international journals, reflecting her dedication to advancing the field.
She is also the author of Textbook of Medicinal Chemistry, Volumes I and II and Medicinal Chemistry for Pharm D, further establishing her as a key figure in pharmaceutical education.
